VSC Design has been actively involved in supporting the UK commercial launch of BT Vision, BT next generation television service.  In its role, VSC Design commissioned and built four Avid suites at BT Visions’ facilities in Holborn, London as part of this project. 

BT Vision uses the Microsoft TV Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) Edition software platform and an advanced Philips set-top box to deliver its next-generation digital television service to BT Total Broadband customers across the UK.  The launch is the latest in a wave of European IPTV deployments based on the Microsoft TV software platform and claims to herald a new era of “compelling personal and connected TV experiences available to consumers”.

BT Vision combines more than 40 digital terrestrial television-based Freeview channels, digital recording capability and an extensive library of video-on-demand (VOD) content delivered over broadband - providing great choice to the viewer.
